Hey everyone!
I would do a huge introduction, "welcome to my life" sort of post to start off my blog but, lets be honest-AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT! Why you ask? Welp, here's the deal, I leave for a three week study abroad trip to Sweden in-get this- FOUR STINKIN DAYS! Not only that but my finals ended about 12 hours ago so I hadn't quite realized how much I had to do before I left till NOW. Whoops. Long story short (really short) I'm basically starting this blog as a way to fill in everyone back home with where I'm at and what I'm up to so hopefully they won't worry too much (cough cough MOM AND DAD). Then, when I get back maybe I'll keep on bloggin just for funsies, who knows?! I also want to use this blog as a way for me to be able to remember my trip. Typing is SO much easier/faster than journaling (trust me, I had to keep a daily journal for a trip to Africa (reflections shall come later) bring on the hand cramps!) Also, if I'm being honest, I just love the sound of a clicking keyboard.
So why am I going to Sweden you ask? To find a cute Swedish boy to fall madly in love with of course! Okay, not quite (unfortunately). I'm going over the pond to learn all about the Swedish health care system and compare it to the United States. Svedes vs. the US. DUN DUN DUN (the anticipations already building....) I can't wait to soak up the culture and all the information I can fit inside my little head about healthcare! I'm so lucky to go to a University that allows me to have opportunities like this. So where am I gonna be hangin out at? The group will be in Jonkoping for the first two weeks. Ten bucks to whoever pronounces that right. YAWN-CHIRP-ING. Like okay Swedes, wheres the r in there? or the ch? If you can't tell, I'm in for an interesting few weeks! After Jonkoping, we're headed to Stockholm for the last week, I can't wait! Then sadly I have to come home, but don't worry my adventure of a summer definitely continues (more about that later- NO TIME remember?)
Okay, now that everyone knows what's up I guess I should tell a little bit about myself. I'm a junior at the university of Arkansas in Fayetteville (woo pig). I start nursing school in the fall (yikes). I live in my sorority house (sometimes yikes). I'm addicted to sweets (it's an issue). I can't eat gluten (wah). I love sunshine and books and hiking and puppies and lots of other things. I'm a list person, which helps because I'm also completely scatterbrained. That's me in a nutshell!
